From May 19 to 23, Valga County Vocational Training Centre is hosting a group of guests from Lithuania as part of the Erasmus+ programme. Four vocational teachers and two administrative staff members from Mažeikiai Polytechnic School are taking part in a training placement focused on the Estonian vocational education system, digital learning processes, and inclusive teaching methods.
From May 18 to 25, Valga Vocational Training Centre is hosting wonderful guests from Ukraine – teachers and students from the Kamen-Kashirsky Higher Vocational School. They are taking part in a program aimed at enhancing their professional skills through internship activities, as well as participating in the prestigious welding competition Viru Welder 2025, held on May 21–23 at Ida-Virumaa Vocational Education Centre.
From April 7 to 11, six students from ASO Teknik Koleji (Ankara, Turkey) are participating in an internship at Valgamaa Vocational Education Centre as part of the Erasmus+ Group Mobility Activity 2024-1-TR01-KA121-VET-000226375. We are pleased to welcome the following young interns:

On December 17-18, the final seminar of the international project AIWOT (The use of artificial intelligence in the work of a teacher) took place, bringing together partners from Greece, Lithuania, and Estonia. During the two-day intensive discussions and working sessions, the results of the work completed within the framework of the project were shared, achievements were discussed, and final steps and deadlines were agreed upon.
Effectiveness and Progress of the Work
This week, the Valgamaa Vocational Education Center welcomed international guests who came to learn about the organization and teaching methods of Estonian vocational education. On Monday, October 28, the school hosted directors from vocational schools in the Volyn region and representatives from the Ukrainian Ministry of Education. The guests praised the Valgamaa Vocational Education Center, expressing admiration for the high standards and organization of Estonian vocational education.
On June 11, 2024, Hungarian Ambassador Pál András visited the Valgamaa Vocational Education Center. The visit was prompted by the school's international cooperation with the Gundel Károly Vocational School of Hospitality in Budapest. The ambassador was welcomed and given a tour of the school by the director of Valgamaa Vocational Education Center, Margus Ojaots.
Five culinary students from Mažeikiai Polytechnic School are doing an internship at Valga County Vocational Training Centre from May 20 to 31. The internship is part of the Erasmus+ project, which aims to provide participants with valuable work and cultural experience. The students were accompanied by their teacher, Žilvinas Selenis
